Submission guidelines
Last updated October 13, 2026
Platformzone is for showing real apps feature by feature. These rules keep listings useful and launches fair. A moderator reviews every listing against them before it goes live.
What you can list
- Apps that people can use or download today: web apps, mobile and desktop apps, browser extensions, APIs and developer tools. Betas are fine if people can sign up.
- Apps you make, or that you're authorized to list for the team that makes them.
- One listing per app. Add every platform to the same listing.
What we don't accept
- Malware, spyware, phishing, scams, or anything that misleads people about what it does or costs.
- Apps that are illegal, or built mainly for harassment, hate, adult content, gambling or getting around other services' rules.
- Listings that are just a landing page, a waitlist with nothing to try, or an affiliate link.
- Copies of someone else's app, name, logo or screenshots.
Making a good listing
- Use your own screenshots and videos that show the real app. No stock images or mockups of features that don't exist yet.
- Describe each feature plainly: what it does and who it's for. Skip superlatives and keyword stuffing.
- Pick the categories and pricing model that fit. Moderators may correct them.
- Keep links pointing to the app itself, not a redirect.
Review and changes
We aim to review new listings within two working days. If something needs fixing, we'll tell you what and why, and you can resubmit. Live listings can be edited any time; changes that break these rules can get a listing taken down, and we'll email you the reason.
Launches and votes
- Launch weeks run Monday to Sunday (UTC). Each app gets one launch.
- Vote with your own account only. Buying votes, vote swaps, rings of accounts or asking people to create accounts to vote for you are not allowed. Suspicious votes are excluded from rankings and can get a launch removed.
- Asking your users and followers to check out your launch is fine; asking them to upvote regardless of what they think is not.
Comments
Be kind and specific. Disclose it when you comment on your own or a competitor's app. No spam, self-promotion in other people's threads, or personal attacks.
Paid placements
Featured placements are labelled “Sponsored” and are limited to 3 on the home page and 2 per category each week. Paying never changes votes or rankings, and paid listings follow the same rules as everyone else. See pricing.
Reporting and takedowns
Use the Report button on any listing or comment. If your app was listed without your permission, or a listing uses your content, email hello@platformzone.com with a link to the listing and we'll look into it promptly.
